A VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF AN INSTRUMENT TO EVALUATE THE KNOWLEDGE OF DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AMONG YOUTH IN MALANG REGENCY

Some efforts are being made to develop an institutional framework for disaster risk reduction in the Indonesian territory. One of the populations that is considered to have an important role in adolescents, namely to encourage various competencies and skills that enable students to play an active role in disaster risk reduction. They also have been carried out in various countries, one of which is in Nephal, which already has a standard disaster risk reduction questionnaire. This questionnaire was adopted to be used in the Indonesian version but firstly it is tested for validity using Pearson Product-Moment correlation analysis and Cronbach’s Alpha reliability test. The results obtained in the Indonesian version of the disaster risk reduction questionnaire called the "Kuesioner PRB pada Remaja" are valid and reliable. So this questionnaire is ready to be used as a measurement of knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors towards disaster risk reduction in adolescents in Malang Regency.
